Development Fellowship
Provides faculty members with a period of time during which his/her
teaching or professional responsibilities and service commitments
are reduced or eliminated thereby enabling the individual to devote
more time and energy to a particular project
SHHRC
Conference Travel Grant
Provides assistance to full-time social science and humanities faculty
members and professional librarians to attend International Learned
Conferences Abroad (i.e., outside Canada, U.S. and U.S. possessions)
for which the applicant is giving a paper, or making a substantial
presentation.
SSHRC
Small Grants Program
Provides support to full-time faculty members and professional
librarians in the humanities and social sciences for pilot studies,
young faculty, ‘opportunistic’ small projects, to round
out work on larger projects, and projects not readily funded elsewhere.
Supplementary
Research Grants
Provides an incentive for faculty members to seek external funding
for their research and to encourage use of grant funds to support
graduate students. Any full-time faculty member receiving a grant
of at least $6,000 is eligible to apply for a supplementary research
grant provided that $3,000 or more is used towards the support of
registered graduate students at York through research assistantships. |
