Politics of Work and Industry (formerly POLS 4000X.03). An analysis
of the ability of capitalist economic and political institutions
to restructure and project themselves anew, including more flexible
forms of production and new political alliances. The historical
forces which have shaped the politics of work and industry will
be examined, as well as the contemporary restructuring of work,
the new industrial policy debate, and the altering spatial patterns
of production and trade.
Prerequisite: AS/POLS 2100 6.0 or AS/POLS
2610 6.0 or AS/POLS 2510 6.0 or permission
